:iconheartemote: It can take hours or days to design a piece of jewelry. :) It depends on how experienced someone is, how complex the piece is, and what program is used. An experienced person will generally be faster. Also, jewelry designers generally make designs faster in the program called Matrix because that program has so much tools suited for jewelry designing. For example, people using Matrix can make gemstones of any size, give gems a bezel of any shape and size, make rings of any shape, and plenty more. On the other hand, the program Rhino is for general 3D designing, so it does not have all the tools that Matrix has. Unfortunately, Matrix is very expensive and is around $7,000. On the other hand, Rhino is about $900, but can be around $150 for students.

Additionally, it takes a long time to make real jewelry. Unfortunately, I currently cannot make my 3D pieces into real jewelry pieces because I do not have the machinery, tools, or money. The 3D pieces would need to be made into wax models, cast into medal, have a chain soldered onto them (if they need chains), sanded, have stones set (if they have stones), and polished. I already made a wax model of 3D Beautiful Heart Pendant at school with a CAD (computer aided manufacturing) machine. However, I do not have equipment to do the rest.
